Virabhadrasana delivered an impressive performance at Saratoga Race Course on August 29, powering to a 2½-length victory in a $115,000 maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies.

Trained by Kinnon LaRose for owner Dr. Joel Politi, the daughter of Jackie’s Warrior showed speed from the start before taking control at the quarter pole. Under jockey Ricardo Santana Jr., Virabhadrasana accelerated through the stretch to secure her first career victory in 1:11.52 for six furlongs.

A $140,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, Virabhadrasana is out of Grade III winner Montana Native and represents another promising young horse in the LaRose stable.

The victory also marked the ninth winner for freshman sire Jackie’s Warrior, adding another exciting chapter to Virabhadrasana’s developing career.
