Upcoming Weekly Racing Entries for LaRose at Churchill (9/12-9/17)

Four entries kick off the week after the move from Saratoga back to Kentucky for LaRose, with the majority of his string based at Churchill Downs.
The week starts out on an exciting high note with Modo entered in the Open Mind Stakes (Race 6) with Luis Saez aboard. The Texas-bred 4-year-old filly looks to keep rolling after winning 3 of her last 4. She’ll attempt to win her first race at Churchill since last November and should be ready off the short layoff; it’s no secret she’ll be looking to make the lead for her best effort. She’s in against a salty 7-horse field but is 3-1 on the morning line.
Sunday turns to a $20k Claiming race for Gee No Hollander in Churchill’s 7th race. He’ll go out as the 3-1 favorite in a loaded 12-horse field with Jose Ortiz riding. The distance, class relief, and outside post (12) should serve him well.
Breadcrumb Trail makes his second start in a Maiden Special Weight on Wednesday in Churchill’s 5th race. The 2yo colt by Vekoma made a promising debut at Ellis Park in late August and has been training well, looking for a move forward in his second lifetime start. Edgar Morales will get the mount again after riding in the debut.
Thursday brings the final entry of the week at Churchill with Aerate in the card’s opener. First off the claim and first start since the end of May, he’s going right back in for the same condition after some time off to refresh. Morales gets the mount on this older colt, hoping the added ground will serve him well.
