LaRose, who spent six years working alongside trainer Tom Amoss, has quickly made his mark as one of racing’s emerging young trainers. Most recently, his filly Stress Relief captured the Grade 3 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga Race Course, delivering a breakthrough graded-stakes victory for LaRose.

The conversation with Carothers highlights LaRose’s path from Division I basketball to the Thoroughbred backstretch and his approach to developing horses at the highest level.
